Rooms: 37 rooms, split in the main house with 3 junior suites, 3 deluxe rooms and 4 standard rooms, in the garden wing with 14 garden rooms and in the new wing with 3 senior suites und 10 superior rooms that have a wonderful view over the golf course. Every room is unique, equipped individually and furnished with the finest pieces of furniture.

Restaurant & Bar: The guests can choose between a variety of menus. Beside excellent a la carte menus, a gourmet menu and a light menu is offered. The latter is also suitable for room service or lunch. It can be served in the bar, in the common room or the guest-room. The gourmet menu is a 7-course menu and is served in the restaurant with three different Portuguese wines. The teahouse lies in the midst of the Palheiro terrain, and is surrounded by the golf course, the Palheiro gardens and the hotel. Home-baked cakes, pastries, ice cream and light snacks are served here, hotel guests have private access

Activities: The heated outside swimming pool has a big terrace, and a sauna as well as a steam bath are at your disposal. Active guests can enjoy the floodlit tennis courts or play crocket, billiards or table tennis. The private yacht "Balancal" waits in the yacht harbour of Funchal and is available for coastal journeys, for dolphin and whale watching, for fishing and much more. From the gardens of the Casa Velha do Palheiro the guests have direct access to the golf course Palheiro, of course with preferential Teetimes and reduced Greenfees. The second golf course Santo da Serra is only 25 driving minutes away.
