Located only 35 minutes north of Lisbon along the A1 motorway, near Rio Maior, Golden Eagle Residence & Golf Resort (formerly known as Quinta do Brincal), owned by Camin, S.A. is probably one of the most beautiful and challenging golf courses in Portugal. In 1996 it earned the distinction of being recognised as the best golf course in Portugal by the Portuguese Golf Federation.

The course was designed by the renowned architect Rocky Roquemore, it presents a typical modern north-American school design focusing on positioning and percentage golf. Bordered throughout with a natural landscape, where in some instances the trees almost touch the limits of the fairways, the course runs for over 6600 metres, along which players are forced to play around eight water hazards and numerous bunkers protecting both landing areas and greens.
